From cacao shell
to your cup.
Cacao husk tea is made from the thin shell that surrounds the cacao bean. It is also known as cacao shell tea or, in Spanish, cascarilla de cacao. Steeping the husks brings the aromatic side of cacao into a clear infusion.
Expect roasted cacao aroma and a lighter body than hot chocolate. The husks are unsweetened; the brewed cup is a different experience from a sweet chocolate drink.
